This stunning, useable AJS 500 Single has come to us in part exchange against an MGB Roadster. Our desirable motorbike was first registered on the 1st January 1965 and has come to us from a keen motorbike enthusiast and collector in Lancashire. This motorcycle was exported new to South African and was a Police motorcycle in its early life. The AJS brought back to the UK in around 2005 but not re-commissioned until 2009 before selling to the last owner.
Over the past few years the AJS has been regularly used and has had hundreds of pounds worth of further expenditure. We have invoices for clutch studs, springs, lever assembly and pressure plate. Further receipts are with the bike for a throttle cable, speedo cable, brake shoes, headlight, ammeter, high tension coil, sump plug and washer, rebuilt carburettor and various other items.
DCK 358C starts instantly, runs beautifully, handles well and is fabulous on the road. The mechanical condition is excellent throughout and we will be supplying the bike with a full 12 months MOT. Paintwork is very good, as are wheels tyres, bright work and alloy. Overall this is a very useable, smartly presented original matching numbers bike.
