The Alfa Romeo 1600 GT Junior was introduced in 1972 to plug the gap between the GT 1300 Junior and the larger engined 2000 GTV. The engine was substantially the same as that of the Giulia Sprint GTV and the final drive ratio was again 9/41 as standard on all 105 Series coupes with the 1290 cc and 1570 cc engine.
This top class driving example was subject of a body restoration in 1993 and was in regular use until 1999. The Alfa then spent eight years in dry storage before moving to the North of England where it was then put back on the road and used as a weekend toy. Invoices for almost £2000 are with the car from 2008 which includes some re-commissioning work. The car has had gentle use throughout 2009 and will be sold with full MOT, service and function check. The car is superb on the road with a fabulous engine and smooth five speed gearbox. The car has the very desirable full webasto sunroof and original beige vinyl upholstery. The GT Junior looks great on the road and although paintwork is seventeen years old, the car looks very smart and presentable.
