The first Ariel to be fitted with an engine was a powered tricycle that appeared in 1898 and it was in 1901 when the first motorcycle was built, powered by a 211cc Minerva engine. In 1926 a new designer, Val Page came to Ariel and created two new engines for the 1926 season. These Ariels were known as 'Black Ariels' (1926-1930) and were the basis on which all Ariel four stroke engines were based on until there demise in 1959. Ariel later ceased production in 1967.
This stunning Ariel 250cc has been the subject of a major restoration. The condition of the bike is exceptional. Mechanically the Ariel requires nothing and the conditon cosmetically is outstanding. The bike has come to us with current MOT but will be sold with a full 12 months. The Ariel comes with some literature including workshop manual and original spares price list.Price: £SOLD
