The Virage was launched in 1988 at the Birmingham Motor Show and was Aston Martin's replacement for the decades old V8. The Virage is a large, heavy car, but the 32 valve 5.3 litre V8 engine elevated its performance to near supercar level. This is a very low mileage example having covered just over 47,000 miles from new and has distinctive features that set it apart from the average Virage. In 2001, the car was sent to Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd and had over £55,000 spent on various body enhancements, hence the similarities to our car and the much more valuable Vantage model.
With a low number of owners and a service history with ten Works Newport Pagnell stamps, this Aston Martin is really is something very special. With such a comprehensive history and the huge amount of expense into servicing and styling, its needless to say the car is in excellent condition. The unworn upholstery looks beautiful with cream leather and blue carpets with a perfect headlining. The only obvious signs of age would be some dis-colouring on the steering wheel.
The on board computer works correctly and the central locking, electric windows and alarm all work as expected. The Virage is great fun to drive with extra wide wheels and tyres to accommodate the wider flared wheel arches. The engine and automatic transmission are faultless as expected.
