1963 Austin A60

BMC face lifted its range of cars in 1961 and the A60 was arguably a vastly improved version of the A55 MKII. The car featured the larger 1622cc B series engine, longer wheelbase and revised styling.

This very original example has only covered 59,000 miles from new. The original buff logbook, original registration number, MOT's going back 25 years and tax discs going back 20 years are all with the car. The car is finished in the lovely colour of Grampian grey with a blue stripe. The original red leather upholstery has aged nicely and presents in lovely condition. Carpets were replaced around 5 years so the interior is exceptionally smart.

The engine and gearbox are in excellent condition, quiet, pulling through the gears perfectly. Oil pressure is high and the car proves very economical.  Recently the car has had a new clutch master cylinder, petrol tank, fuel pump and copper petrol pipe front to back. The Austin has also recently had a new exhaust, tyres and steering idler box.
