1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKIIA

This wonderful Healey 3000 MKII has had in the region of £30,000 spent on restoration work and maintenance over the past eighteen years. A comprehensive history file containing all invoices is present with the car.

The car was brought over to the UK from North America and registered in 1991. The Healey has remained with the one owner since 1991 and on arrival in the U.K, was sent to one of Northern Ireland's top restoration Company's. The car was fully stripped down and rebuilt with 500 hours of labour going into the bodywork alone. 86 hours went into rebuilding the engine and overdrive gearbox with six new pistons, main and big end bearings going into the engine. The block was rebored and the crankshaft cracktested and reground. The upholstery was re-trimmed and between 1991 and 1993, around £15000 was spent. 

Since restoration the Austin Healey has covered under 12,000 miles. The car has been incredibly well maintained and evidence is in the history. The condition of the paint and bodywork remains beautiful and chrome work is very bright. The interior still looks new and the weather gear is all excellent. 

On the road TSU 485 is outstanding with a top class engine that wants to rev. With great performance, superb handling and the most wonderful exhaust note, this Healey makes the ultimate driving car that really does put a smile on your face.
