The Bentley Continetal R is a large, expensive, luxury coupe made between 1991 and 2002. It was the first Bentley to feature a body not shared with a Rolls-Royce model since the S3 of 1965, and the quickest, most expensive, and most powerful Bentley of its day. The 6.75 litre engine is the one used in the Bentley Turbo R and has an estimated output of 325 hp, estimated as Rolls Royce refused to supply official figures. The body is beautifully built with a a slight curvature in stark contrast to the flat-sided Rolls-Royce and Bentley vehicles of the time. The Continental R also featured roof-cut door frames,a subtle spoiler effect in the rear, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
This incredibly well maintained example is finished in Aurora with magnolia leather piped Spruce. A full service record accompanies the car and the mileage from new is recorded at 104,000. The Bentley has been beautifully kept inside with stunning leather and bright polished woodwork. The paint finish remains excellent and the car drives without fault.
From 1993 to 1996 the car was maintained by Rolls Royce & Bentley main agent S.P Broughton & Company Ltd. The car was serviced nine times in this period with the mileage running from 3643 to 52,444 miles. The next two services were carried out by H.R Owen in London, taking the mileage to 77449 miles in 2000. The car later moved up to Scotland and was serviced by M.B Jarvie Ltd in Glasgow, Parks Bentley in January 2003 at 83,478 miles and Mulsanne Motors Ltd in August 2006 and May 2007. The last service was carried out by a marque specialist in Yorkshire with 102,111 miles recorde, this was September 2008.
