MXK 7 was delivered new to Charles Follett Ltd, London W1 on the 12th June 1952 in Tudor Grey with Grey hide upholstery. The Bentley MKVI was sold new to a Count Monassei of Kent. We do not have much information on the cars early history but we know the car was later shipped to the U.S.A. The Bentley spent more recent years in Lake Dallas, Texas before returning to the U.K in 2005.
The Bentley has spent the past four years in Anglesey, covering little under 2,000 faultless miles in this period. MXK 7 was actually driven over 250 miles from Wales to our premises and performs perfectly with a smooth, quiet engine holding excellent oil pressure. The Bentley holds the road well and has excellent performance as you would expect from its 4566cc engine. Over the past four years, the last owner has kept a mileage log recording every journey since 2007. The mileage log, factory card specifications, MOT certificates, Texas Certificate of title and an original handbook are all with the Bentley.
Our Bentley appears to be a very original car with a lovely interior. The grey leather has been kept in superb order and the woodwork and headlining are very smart. The carpets have been replaced in recent years and are like new. The engine bay and boot area are both very presentable and the original tool kit is still almost complete. The body is straight with very good panels. The car has older paintwork and is not without the odd stone chip and mark. Subject to price, we are happy to carry out some paint improvements but if the plan is to tour with this lovely old Bentley, patina may be preferred.
A fantastic opportunity to acquire an honest Bentley MKVI capable of long distance touring.
