1934 Daimler Light 15

This delightfully honest Daimler Light 15 has come to us from a regular customer in West Yorkshire. This has been part of a lovely classic car collection where all vehicles are prepared and ready for regular use. The last owner bought the car in 2003 and since then almost £4,000 has been spent on mechanical and electrical work to ensure the Daimler has proved reliable and capable of a long distance journey. Recent work includes a new wiring loom, overhauling brake cylinders, general servicing and recent cylinder head work.

The Daimler speedometre records 72000 miles and we have MOT certificates dating back to 1990 with a mileage of 54,987. We also know the Daimler had some substantial mechanical work carried out between 2001 and 2003 when the mileage was between 64700 and 69853 miles. Work included an engine rebuild with unleaded head conversion. The starter motor was rebuilt, differential/propshaft oil seal replaced, new shock absorbers and springs repalced amongst much other work. Invoices for around £2500 are with the car from this period.

BGU 174 has lots of charm and drives beautifully with a smooth pre-selector gearbox. The engine performs superbly and the car handles well. It has a lovely aged feel to it with nice upholstery and older, but very smart paint and bodywork.

Complete with original number, handbooks and comprehensive history file.
