1984 Daimler Sovereign 4.2

This lovely Daimler Sovereign 4.2 has come to us in part exchange. The car was driven to us from Sunderland (180 mile round trip) for inspection and we later collected the car. On arrival here we have probably covered 100 miles or so. The mileage is now just under 99,400 and we are happy to put a full 12 months MOT on the car.

In 1997 the Daimler was sold to the last owner without MOT test. The car was then subject of a body restoration. There are some photos of the restoration work showing corrosion repairs and the car in prima prior to a re-paint. At this point the chrome wheel arch covers were fitted onto the rust free arches. The leather work was re-conolised and the owner has had over 10 years use out of the car covering classic car mileage year in year out. The car was only sold due to lack of space and room had to be made for an MG Midget. MOT certificates from 1997 are with the car.

The bodywork, paint and chrome are of a very good standard and the only negative points are minor cosmetic imperfections. There are no serious issues with the body and paint; the only imperfections can be put down to age. I would say the condition of the body is very good for a Jaguar of this age and requires no improvement. The interior is beautiful with lovely leather, excellent carpets, new headlining and stunning woodwork. The engine bay and boot are clean.
