1977 Daimler Sovereign Series II 4.2 Coupe

This rare and exceptional Daimler Sovereign Series II 4.2 Litre Coupe was manufactured on the 4th July 1977 and supplied new by Dutton Forshaw of Preston. The Daimler has had just four former keepers and has covered 85,700 miles from new. The car has been subject of a major restoration 1994/1995 and is today presented in exceptional condition.

REO 395S was purchased in 1992 as a complete original car, on the road but in need of some work. The body was stripped down to bare metal and new floor pans fitted. The car was then re-sprayed in 1994/1995 in British Racing Green. The colour was changed from Squadron Blue and a full professional re-spray was carried out to include engine bay and boot area. Coachlines were applied and a brand new vinyl roof fitted. The headlining was replaced and a full set of white wall tyres fitted. The Daimler was mechanically overhauled and the rear assembly removed and rebuilt with photographic record.  Since restoration the Daimler has covered just 3000 miles.

The Daimler was sold to the last owner in 2011 and since then over £3000 has been spent on further improvements with a local Jaguar specialist. The Daimler has been beautifully detailed and further improvements specified by the very meticulous owner. REO 395S has covered around 1000 miles over the past twelve months and drives perfectly. The Daimler is effortless to drive with a beautiful, quiet and powerful engine, superb gearbox and perfect handling and braking. The Daimler has been mechanically prepared to a very high standard and is a true pleasure to drive.

The bodywork is excellent having benefitted from substantial refurbishment. The underneath presents superbly and the paintwork has a lovely deep finish. The engine bay is presented in top class show condition and the car has been beautifully finished off. The Daimler is sold with MOT certificates dating back to 1980, restoration photographs, tool roll, Heritage Certificate and invoice file detailing thousands of pounds worth of expenditure.

A rare opportunity to buy a first class Daimler Coupe.
