The Ferrari Testarossa was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1984 as a replacement for the 512 BBi which it replaced as the flagship model in the Ferrari range. The body was designed and built by Pininfarina who styled many of Ferrari's most beautiful cars. The Testarossa has a horizontally opposed boxer 12 cylinder engine of almost 5 litres producing 390 BHP at 6300 rpm and 361 lb/ft torque at 4500 rpm. It has dry sump lubrication and Bosch fuel injection. The Maranello Concessionaires Archive have confirmed this stunning low mileage example was manufactured by Ferrari SpA Maranello, Italy in August 1990 and was delivered to the Swiss/German market in October 1990. The Ferrari is still in it's original specification finished in Rosso Corsa FER300/9 with Nero 8500 hide and Nero Carpets.
This first class example has now covered 33,000 miles from new and comes with a full service history with twelve service stamps from Ferrari dealers or specialists plus £18,000 of invoices for maintenance work since being imported into the UK in 1997. The Ferrari was sold new in Germany and was factory fitted with Gkat catalytic converters making the car eligible for the key German and Swiss markets. In January 2015 the Ferrari was treated to a major engine out service including replacement cambelts at a cost of £2526. The car comes with all its books in the original Ferrari leather folder, tools, spare keys and comprehensive folder of history including invoices, MOT's and paperwork detailing all work carried out since 1991. Low mileage cars such as this can often suffer from lack of use or a failure to be properly maintained. This top class example suffers from none of these issues and is a rarely found example with the correct provenance and history. The condition, service history and invoice file demonstrate how well this stunning car has been carefully owned and as a result this offers an outstanding opportunity.
The condition throughout the car is totally first class. The bodywork is outstanding, the Rosso Corsa paintwork pristine having being regularly polished and treated, the interior beautiful and original with a front compartment area and engine bay to match. The underside of this Ferrari is impressive and wheels and tyres are in excellent condition. This superbly maintained example is top class throughout and will not disappoint. This is true iconic super car and low mileage cars with this level of history are not often available at this price.
