The new Ford 100E models were announced in September 1953 and carried the names Anglia (two door) and Prefect (four door). The 100E had a maximum speed of 70mph and offered a level of performance and style previously not known in cars of a similar size and price range. The 100E featured self cancelling indicators, MacPherson strut independent front suspension, Girling hydraulic clutch and brakes and a 12 volt electrical system.
This particular car was first registered on the 25th November 1956. The car was supplied new on the Isle of Man and remained on the Island until 1990. The original buff logbook from the Isle of Man is still with the car along with bills and invoices for recent work. The Ford records little over 64000 miles and appears a very original example that has recently had some engine and trim work. The car presents very well and is excellent on the road. The last owners have used the car during summer months and it has attended many shows and rallies.Price: £SOLD
