We have carefully re-comissioned the truck which now has a reconditioned water pump, rebuilt carburettor, rebuilt distributor and new exhaust. It is fitted with a Wartime Lister/Maudsleys JP3 15KVA generator. These superb generators have almost all been scrapped for the wonderful 1000 RPM Lister JP3, often converted for narrowboat use and which is capable of running on vegetable oil. The Lister is running beautifully, and although we have not connected up the generator side, this should not prove a problem. Liste JP3s sell independently for £3-5,000 in good condition. The Fordson has the superb flathead V8 as fitted to the Ford Pilot. This engine runs beautifully, and with perfect oil pressure. Although it still requires some detailing, the truck has now been correctly registeand is currently taxed on it's new DVLA issued number 661 YUA. As mobile plant it is M.O.T exempt ad is taxed (free) in the Historic Vehicle class. An absolute show-stopper at summer shows and rallies. The Lister JP3 cooling system has been cleaned and flushed and runs at perfect makers oil pressure without overheating.
