1975 Hillman Avenger Sunseeker Automatic
Introduced in February 1970, the Avenger was significant as it was the first and last car to be developed by Rootes after the Chrysler takeover in 1967. Stylistically, the Avenger was undoubtedly very much in tune with its time; the American-influenced "Coke Bottle" waistline and semi-fastback rear-end being a contemporary styling cue.
This DL four door automatic is very special in that it has covered under 2500 miles from new with only one recorded keeper. The car is an absolute time warp and an opportunity like this is very unlikely to be repeated. The car has been well stored and well maintained whilst not been taxed since
1976. The car stands in excellent condition with an unmarked interior, excellent body and original paint in lovely condition. The Avenger is great to drive and with such low mileage the running gear is superb. To be critical, the rear bumper is not perfect and the original wheels are marked but this isn't a fully restored car, its completely original.
