The car featured in a detailed article in Classic & Sportscar Magazine in June 1997 with some wonderful pictures in Edinburgh City Centre, below the Forth Road Bridge and on the rural roads of the Scottish Highlands. The car was with its Doctor owner for around fourteen years, the first two years were spent using the car reguarly before undertaking a full nut and bolt restoration to show standard condition. Since completion of the rebuild, JPD 315C has covered in the region of 12000 miles.
The E-Type spent 15 years with its next owner and most of its time was spent in Suffolk. During the mid 2000's various work and upkeep was carried out and this is all well documented in the history file. The most recent owner based in Kent purchased the E-Type in 2012 and has spent a subsequent £30,000 in 2015. Since owning the car, around 3000 miles have been covered in the car and various events have been attended including the recent ‘Jagfest' at Hole Park in Kent.
JPD 315C looks beautiful in its original colour of Opalescent Silver Blue and retains a stunning paint finish and lovely straight body panels. The interior has nicely aged since its late 1990's re-trim and chrome work is generally of a very high standard. The engine bay is very well presented, as is the boot compartment and spare wheel well. The E-Type drives superbly with a strong, fit rebuilt engine holding excellent oil pressure, the all synco gearbox is perfectly smooth and the car handles exceptionally well. The E-Type feels quick, responsive and is ideal for long distance, extensive touring. Many years on since restoration, the car has nicely settled in a condition ideal for usability and enjoyment on the open road.
