1966 Jaguar Mk II 2.4 Manual with Overdrive

This stunning MKII Jaguar has spent the majority of its lifetime in Wiltshire. The car was supplied new in South West County and moved locally in 1968 and again in the early 1970's where it then remained with the same owner until 2002. Remarkably when sold in 2002, the mileage was only 28,031 from new and as a result was in exceptionally smart original condition.

Since 2002, JLJ 25 has had continued gentle use. The mileage today is still only 34,000 and the upholstery is outstanding with beautiful woodwork, perfect leather and excellent carpets and headlining as expected with such a nice low mileage. Importantly the body is exceptional with panel alignment and door shuts that you expect on a brand new MKII Jaguar. The car has clearly never suffered from the prone corrosion issues associated with the MKII. As you would expect with this provenance, the car drives perfectly without fault. Both engine and all synro gearbox show no signs of wear and the car still drives like a two year old car. JLJ 25 has excellent handling, power and comfort. In reality the MKII 2.4 performed very well for the period and was only shown up against its high performance 3.4 and 3.8 siblings. A top speed on 96mph and 120bhp suggest there is enough power for regular classic car driving.

Rare to see such originality.
