1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4S FHC

This truly outstanding Jaguar XK150 was manufactured on the 1st September 1958. The car was distributed from Henlys Limited, London but the DVLA cannot disclose information on its first five years or who actually first owned this rather special car. We have a buff logbook from 1963 and we know the car was still in the London area up until the early 1970's.

We have known this XK for over eight years and it has to be one of the most impressive examples we have come across. Over the past eight years the XK has covered over 8,000 faultless miles and from previous MOT certificates, we know the XK has covered 12,000 miles since 1997. The car presents in outstanding condition further enhanced by the most superbly detailed engine bay. The attention to detail is just outstanding as you would expect with a car that has been prepared for showing. The XK benefitted from a total rebuild from 1984 to 1988 with a huge file of receipts accompanying the car. A comprehensive history is with the car detailing the restoration and also including DVLA correspondence, 1963 issued buff logbook, Heritage Certificate, MOT Certificates, original handbook and equipment and test data sheet. During the restoration, SBD 453 was up-rated to 'S' specification with all work carried out to factory specification.

With an excellent body and delightful older paintwork, the XK is a fabulous car to own. Chrome work gleams and the underside of the vehicle is stunning. The interior presents beautifully with lovely black leather upholstery still retaining a very original feel. Driving the car is a wonderful experience and SBD 453 feels exceptionally quick with a strong, powerful engine holding excellent oil pressure. The Moss gearbox is great to use and the overdrive comes in perfectly. Handling and braking feel correct making this a wonderful car to drive.
