This very impressive Lagonda DHC was built on the 12th January 1952 and dispatched on the 22nd January. The car was supplied new by Cyril Williams Motors Ltd, Wolverhampton and was finished in maroon with beige leather. Only 511 of these impressive models were ever built, 125 being Drop Head Coupe's.
We are told only 20 to 30 of this model remain in existence making this an incredibly rare car. This example was barn stored in the 1960's and didn't come out for around 40 years. The Lagonda was discovered by a Doctor in 2004 that had the car completely rebuilt. Photographs show the 'barn find' which looked to be incredibly solid. The Lagonda was subject to a chassis up rebuild and photographs accompany the history showing in detail the level of work required in taking this rare vehicle back to a wonderful standard. The Lagonda was taken right down to the bare chassis and all parts replaced or re-furbished as necessary.
The car stands beautifully with a high standard of paintwork on an excellent straight body. The chrome work is in beautiful order and the hood is like new. The interior is stunning with bespoke top quality hide and new carpets. With the column change now floor change, the Lagonda is a delight to drive with a superb, strong rebuilt engine. The car is mechanically excellent and is ideal for touring on the Continent.
