This exceptionally smart MG B Roadster was brought over to the UK from the United States in 1999 and has been kept in its original left hand drive specification. We have paperwork to confirm that prior to shipping, the MG was in California and from the structurally superb bodyshell, it would seem apparent the car has been in a warm climate state.
YNU 231S has been driven over to us on two occasions from Lincolnshire and is in excellent mechanical order. The MG has been with its last owner for three years and was purchased from a Midlands classic car restoration Company who carried out re-commissioning work during 2011. We are told the MG was restored in 2006 and we have receipts for a new clutch kit, new gearbox selector bushes, accelerator cable and other items such as a hood and frame, new seals and door locks in 2011.
The MG has covered over 10,000 miles since 2007 and has come to us in strong mechanical condition. The car drives beautifully with a strong engine holding excellent oil pressure, smooth gearbox with overdrive and very good all round braking and handling. The MG feels precise and has a very good road holding and is equipped with electronic ignition and stainless steel exhaust. With the way it drives and of course LHD specification, YNU 231S is ideal for touring on the Continent and does still retains many of its original export features.
The MG presents very well with an excellent bodyshell and lovely clean paintwork. The engine bay looks clean, the boot area in excellent and the MG looks great with Minilight wheels, boot rack and its relatively new hood. The Black upholstery is smart, presentable and the interior is further enhanced with walnut door capping's. Overall this is a very well presented, strong driving car that is ready to be used and enjoyed.
