This smart, usable MGB Roadster was built on the 9-10th February 1967 and despatched on the 24th finished in British Racing Green with Black trim. The MG was sold new by W Watson & Company Ltd, Liverpool and it's original registration mark GDO 140E was issued in Lincolnshire on the 15th March 1967.
This has been a regularly driven car and from MOT records we know it has covered 45,000 miles in the last 27 years. Between 1994 and 1995 alone the MG covered 12,000 miles so there's no doubt for many years this has been a reliable tourer capable of covering plenty of miles. GDO 140E comes with a comprehensive file of invoices covering maintenance over many years. Last year the MG was treated to a rebuilt rear axle, heater control valve and gasket and new brake master cylinder. In 2012 the MG was fitted with a remote brake servo, converted onto a single battery and in 2009 the car treated to a new dynamo and control box. In 2004 the cylinder head was converted to run on unleaded and the comprehensive file contains invoices for many service items and maintenance items such as wheel bearings, brake shoes etc.
On the the road GDO 140E is lovely with an excellent road holding, good quality brakes and a lovely sweet engine holding excellent oil pressure. The four speed gearbox changes smoothly and the overdrive comes in and out perfectly. This is a great driving, tight car and it performs faultlessly on the road. The MG presents nicely with a strong, straight body and well presented older paintwork. Chrome work is in lovely order, painted wires are excellent and the soft top hood is like new. The Black leather with White piping seats are first class, carpets, door cards and dash are all in very good order so this MGB offers excellent value and is sold with a full 12 months MOT and fresh service.
