1969 MG C Roadster

This first class driving MGC Roadster has come to us from Sussex and has been with its last owner since 2011. The car was purchased in 2011 as a good, usable example and has since had in the region of £5,000 spent on the car taking it to an excellent overall standard.

The MG has recently been treated to both mechanical and cosmetic improvements to include new leather upholstery, the desirable EZ power assisted steering and the engine has been removed and the inner wings and bulk head detailed to offer a very well presented under bonnet. Whilst the engine was removed the clutch was replaced, stainless steel exhaust manifolds, new engine mountings, crank oil seal, various new hoses and new rocker gasket fitted. There are also various invoices for service work, MOT work and general maintenance. This history file also contains invoices dating back to 1998 so there is a comprehensive record of the cars recent history. MOT certificates from 1999 show our MGC has covered just 9000 miles in the last sixteen years.

On the road HEW 444F is quite simply outstanding and is effortless to drive with the advantage and luxury of ultra-light steering. The engine is unbelievably smooth and delivers impressive power with a lovely exhaust note. The C holds excellent oil pressure, the four speed gearbox is excellent with strong syncro's and the rear axle is quiet. The overdrive comes in and out smoothly and the handling and brakes are impressive. Overall the car is an absolute delight to drive.

HEW 444F presents very well with a super straight bodyshell with lovely clean panels. The paintwork has a deep shine to it and chrome work is of a very good standard. The engine bay is excellent; the engine unit itself has been painted in the correct colour and is very tidy. The upholstery is very clean with new leather seats, excellent carpets and a smart dashboard. The underneath of the car is straight, solid and very strong. The C has a very good hood and is a car ready to use and enjoy. Whether the car is bought for the odd weekend use or some serious long distance touring, it will certainly meet expectations.
