1969 MG Midget 1275

This delightful tartan red MG Midget was subject of a full nut and bolt restoration back in 1993. YUY 643H was completely stripped down and the shell sent to be dipped and shot blasted. Corroded areas were cut out and the rebuild was commenced with new panels and some repair panels. Wings and doors were new, as was the front panel assembly.

Mechanically the MG was rebuilt with new or re-conditioned parts. This included brakes, steering, suspension bushes, king pins etc. The engine was stripped and rebuilt, the gearbox re-conditioned. Final fittings included some new chrome, re-upholstered seats together with new carpets and hood.

Since the restoration YUY 643H has covered 12,000 miles and still presents very well with lovely paint and bodywork, bright chrome, smart, clean upholstery and bright nicely detailed boot and engine bay. The MG looks great on a good set of wire wheels. 

Driving the car is no disappointment as it handles perfectly with a strong, responsive engine and excellent smooth gearbox. Overall a beautiful car that is ideal for taking to shows, rallies and using.
