MEA 7E was first registered on the 1st July 1967 and is finished in Tartan Red with Black leather upholstery and is fitted with chrome wire wheels. The MGB GT has been very well known on the South Wales show scene and has been rebuilt to a very high standard. Between 1990 and 2015 the MG has had two long term owners in South Wales and after a substantial rebuild the car has been meticulously maintained and kept in a condition ready to show.
The MGB has covered just over 6000 miles in 25 years and from the MOT certificates we can see it has been used annually. The car has clearly only had summer use, mainly used for driving to the many South Wales classic car shows over each season. The restoration of this car began in the early 1990's and the car still presents superbly and has the appearance and performance of a recent restoration. This is due to the low mileage, top quality maintenance and the fact the car has been meticulously detailed and polished throughout each year. MEA 7E comes with a photo album and invoice file detailing substantial work to include a rebuilt gearbox, rebuilt overdrive unit and new Oselli engine with unleaded cylinder head and new flywheel and ring gear. Brakes, suspension and steering have been overhauled and we have receipts for various brightwork and a re-trimmed upholstery. Further receipts detail a rebuilt starter motor, exhaust system, clutch, re-conditioned radiator, new water pump, Lumenition kit and much more. The MG has had a high quality body restoration and re-paint and has been admired by most on the show circuit for many years.
MEA 7E has arrived with us in stunning condition. The body is exceptional with superb panel fit, excellent straight panels and a gleaming bright Red finish. The chrome work is excellent including the chrome wire wheels and the car presents in first class order. The interior has been beautifully finished with Black leather seats, excellent carpets, headlining and walnut dash. The engine bay and boot area are very smart and the underside of the MG is excellent. On the road performance is very impressive with a superb, strong Oselli engine. The four speed gearbox is smooth with overdrive on 3rd and 4th gear. The MG handles and brakes superbly and is truly the all round package for MGB performance. This is a car that has been cherished and kept in beautiful order for many years and it must be kept this way.
