JEH 110D is a RHD Home Market UK supplied car, manufactured on the 5-7th April 1966 and finished in Tartan Red with Black upholstery. The MGB was ordered new with wire wheels, overdrive, heater, tonneau, folding hood and anti-roll bar. John Pepper Limited, Hanley, Stoke on Trent supplied the car new, registered new with the Staffordshire registration mark JEH 110D.
We know this outstanding car very well having supplied it to the last two owners. In January 2008 we sold the car to a local couple in Malton who thoroughly enjoyed the car for almost two years, and in December 2010 the most recent owner purchased the MG, keeping it for over 9 years and covering 6000 miles in the car. The MGB has been extensively toured annually during the classic car season, attending events and taking part in rallies/events such as the 50th MGB Anniversary at Blenheim Palace, the Woldsway MG Club run and the Kimber Run several times.
This top class car has covered 26000 miles since a complete full, nut and bolt restoration between July 1988 and March 1995. At a cost in excess of £20,000, the MG was completely rebuilt using a brand new Heritage shell and was modified and uprated with the engine being built to Stage 2 specification with a 714 camshaft and Weber 45 DCOE ensuring the car is a super quick, very usable road car ideal for long distance touring. The car was completely rebuilt with receipts present for mechanical re-conditioning work and the interior completely re-trimmed with Black leather seats with headrests, new carpets, re-conditioned dashboard and gauges. On completion, the MG was finished as a new car with a first-class engine bay, and 25 years on the car still presents superbly in excellent condition.
Just as it was when we last saw the car in late 2010, the MG presents with an exceptional bodyshell, beautiful Tartan Red paintwork, excellent chrome, excellent hood and stunning, show standard engine bay. The upholstery 26,000 miles in still presents superbly with a comfortable, used feel to it, the boot compartment is superbly trimmed, and everything works as it should. The underside is still exceptional as expected from a Heritage shell. On the road JEH 110D does not disappoint. Its incredibly quick, has lots of power and feels tight, precise and absolutely right. The four speed with overdrive gearbox performs perfectly, the MG starts instantly, the strong fit engine sounds and performs to an exceptionally high standard and the car is great fun to drive. 26000 miles since restoration is a clear indication this is a strong, reliable example that has been enjoyed to its maximum potential. We are pleased to welcome back JEH 110D and offer it onto the market sensibly priced, presenting and performing superbly, requiring no major work. This is a car ready to drive and enjoy, and we encourage test driving this quick 2.0 Stage 2 engine car.
