1962 Mercedes Benz 190 SL
The iconinc 190SL was in production from 1955 to 1963. The 2 door grand touring convertibe was first shown at the New York Motor Show of 1954 and was offered new with soft top and an option of removable hardtop. This lovely example has many original features and comes with a comprehensive history file including invoices dating back to 1986, MOT's back to 1989 and a notebook documenting servicing and a mileage log from 1963. The history file and the original upholstery suggest the mileage of 51,300 is correct. The red upholstery has aged nicely and is in excellent condition. The rubber floor mats are original from new and whilst they are not perfect, they give a real honest feel to the car. The expensive sought after clock is still with the vehicle, as is the orignal hard top, handbook and original UK registration mark. The soft top is in average conditon, only used when caught out by the weather. The engine and gearbox are excellent with the engine holding very good oil pressure. Overall the 190SL is very smart with some imperfections expected on a very original car that was painted many years ago.
Great Value and really looks the part.
This car will also be supplied with a brand new soft top hood.
