1966 Mercedes Benz 230 SL
Production began in 1963 with the 2.3 litre 230 SL. These models were commonly 4 speed manual transmission cars, but a 4 speed automatic transmission was also available and popular for the U.S market cars. They quickly gained popularity in the U.S market, and this eventually led to more and more cars being built with automatic transmission. All models boast and inline six cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection using a mechanical pump system. All are rear wheel drive, but are also equipped with independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. This 230 SL auto has a recorded mileage of 69,000, with history dating back to 1984. The car drives exceptionally well with high oil pressure and perfect gear change. The upholstery is in outstanding order, and both paintwork and chrome are bright. The soft top hood is relatively new, and the overall presentation of the car is exceptionally good. The car has been with it's last owner since 1992, and the car has been carefully looked after during his ownership.
