1972 Mercedes Benz 350SL

The W107 model Mercedes Benz SL is an absolute classic which lasted in production for almost 20 years. The W107 was in production from 1972 replacing the iconic Pagoda roof model which came off the production line in 1971.

This early tax exempt SL has covered 95,000 miles from new and comes with a comprehensive and detailed history file, recently replaced beige soft top, original hard top and factory fitted rear child seats. EKH 307K was first registered on the 23rd March 1972 and supplied new to a London Investment Company. The original service book is still with car recording services at 15819 (1973), 24846 (1975), 32662 (1976), 38374 (1976) and 44209 in 1981. MOT certificates have been retained since 1980 with continuous certificates up to 1991 when the Mercedes recorded 88,000 miles. MOT certificates from 1999 to date are also with the car showing it has covered 7000 miles in the last twelve years. Invoices for thousands of pounds worth of work during the 1980's and 1990's are with the car including £8000 spent on the vehicle between 1996 and 1998. This included some body restoration work, chrome, painted engine bay, exhaust system and tyres.

We last sold the Mercedes in October 2009 and prior to that the Mercedes Benz was part of an impressive classic car collection in East Yorkshire. Since 2009 the Mercedes has been in Harrogate and was driven back here by us as a part exchange against a Jaguar E-Type.

The SL drives well with a superb engine holding very good oil pressure. EKH 307K has been serviced recently with a Mercedes Benz main dealer and has driven over from Harrogate with no problems whatsoever. The car presents well with bright paint and chrome, a recently replaced hood and smart soft top. The interior retains original seats and carpets with new Mercedes Benz over mats.
