We are delighted to offer this genuine Classic Mini Cooper Sport 500 onto the market. This is one of 500 made in the final Classic Mini production run. On October 4th 2000, after 41 years Rover ceased production of the Mini and in celebration of this wonderful piece of motoring history, Rover launched a ‘Mini Classic’ range. Right at the very end of production, a separate batch of 500 Cooper Sport 500's were built and these end of an era, last of the line cars have become hugely desirable.
This particular example was first registered on the 5th March 2001 and is number 218 of the 500 built. The Mini is 1 of 110 finished in Solar Red and this car has covered just 13000 miles from new. The Mini changed hands in 2003 and has been with one lady owner in Worcestershire since, a regular customer of ours who is a keen Mini enthusiast. Since 2008 the Mini has been kept dry stored and off the road, and therefore will be supplied to its next owner fully serviced and with 12 months MOT. The Mini comes with its original wallet and handbooks including a service record containing six stamps. The Mini has been carefully owned and arrives in stunning condition both inside and outside.
The Mini 500 Cooper Sport was only made in the Sport Pack version with distinctive Platinum Silver roofs. These 500 cars came with dash plaque, Platinum Silver wing mirrors, large body coloured wheel arch spats, Sport alloy wheels, four fog lamps, alloy gear knob, Black and Silver leather upholstery, leather steering wheel, unique alloy dashboard, chrome boot and door handles and the Mini is equipped with the 1275cc multi point injection engine. This rare, low mileage example is a real collector's piece and desirability will only further increase in time.
