This very usable Morris 8 was first registered on the 13th December 1935. We have the original brown 'buff' logbook from 1961 which shows the car remained with the same Gloucestershire family from 1961 to 1978. In 1978 the car was sold by the family to a local man who kept the car for the next thirty years. In 2008 we bought the car after it has been off the road for many years. Prior to it's arrival in 2008, it had been prepared and put back on the road although retaining its 1978 tax disc on the windscreen. We then sold the car to a regular customer in Aberdeen.
UD 7266 is different from most as our time warp complies with 1939 - 1946 A.R.P. Blackout Regulations with painted white lining for good visibility. It is also fitted regulation headlamp mask. The little Morris had a respray around 30 years ago and new front seat covers. Apart from this the car is largely original, unrestored and for the past 20 years has been used as a showroom exhibit with the occasional outing to local shows.
The Morris is a fantastic starter even on a cold morning and the engine ticks over sweetly. The Morris is lovely on the road with good oil pressure and a smooth gear change. Overall its a fantastic driver and would suit someone who likes to detail.
