1968 Morris Minor 1000 Deluxe

This superbly presented Morris Minor 1000 was supplied new by Bradburn & Wedge Ltd in Wolverhampton on the 20th September 1968 and stayed with its first owners for around 50 years. The original bill of sale confirms our Morris was manufactured as a Deluxe model finished in Smoke Grey with Blue Grey upholstery. Including purchase tax, delivery charge, road fun license, number plates for the registration mark UJW 715Gm seat belts and underseal the price of the car new totalled £688.17.

In 2004, this remarkably original car was treated to a major body restoration that totalled £8700. An invoice and photographs support a major program of work that included two new front and rear wings, floor edge panels, rear quarter repair panels, rear arch repair sections, new wing beading, B post repair panels, new inner wing to hinge pillar, inner rear wing panels, undersill panels, lower section boot repair section and various new rubbers, gaskets and chrome work. In 2005 the Morris was treated to mechanical work to include new wheel cylinders, brake pipes, brake hoses and various service items. The next major expenditure came in 2013 when £1551 was spent on servicing, a new clutch, new seat webbing, seat foams, headlamp kit, new ignition items, setting up carbs and setting the tappet clearances.

The Morris has arrived with us in lovely condition, a really well sorted, largely original car with wonderful provenance having had one owner for most of its life. We believe the recorded mileage of 95000 is likely to be genuine and we can see from MOT history the Morris has covered 5500 miles in the past 15 years having low, but steady annual use. The Minor presents very well with lovely paintwork, bodywork and chrome, the interior is nicely presented, and the car drives superbly and feels strong, reliable and on the button with a strong engine and gearbox. UJW 715 is a lovely, cherished example and will not disappoint. The Morris comes with its original 1968 bill of sale, original sales brochure, Jack Brabham Car Care Cards and restoration photos and invoices.
