This highly desirable Morris Minor Tourer was first registered on the 1st October 1932. From the brown 'buff' logbook we know the Morris was in South London in the early 1960's and later moved to Surrey and then Berkshire. We know from the green continuation logbook the Morris was still registered in Berkshire during the mid 1970's and the history with the car suggests it spent many years unused off the road until a recent restoration.
In 2008 the Morris was sold requiring restoration and was then put through an extensive programme of work. The Morris was treated to a new wiring harness, the engine was stripped down and rebuilt, the brakes were reconditioned throughout and the fuel tank, starter motor, dynamo, shock absorbers and carburettor were also reconditioned. New hoses, a new exhaust and new wheels and tyres were also fitted. The chassis was bead blasted and powder coated, the body prepared and painted and the upholstery re-trimmed in leather. The Morris restoration was completed to a very high standard and the car has covered little mileage since completion.
As expected after such a rebuild, the Morris is a beautiful little car that would not look out of place on the show scene. It is also capable of regular use and happily cruises at 45-50mph. The Morris drives brilliantly with good performance, great handling and attracts admirers whenever out on the open road.
