1966 Morris Minor Tourer

We are delighted to offer this genuine factory Morris Minor Tourer onto the market having previously sold it in 2013. From 2007 to 2012 Morris spent five years in the warm climate of Gibraltar, owned by one of our long term customers. It was used for general local outings and many local rallies. GHP 718D has been with one owner since 2013, another long term customer who has enjoyed touring with the car in good weather only. The Morris has proven totally reliable, has driven over to us from Howden over several occasions and has been thoroughly enjoyed.

Improvements since last selling the Morris include an excellent replacement rear axle which was cleaned, painted and fitted to the car. The car has been thoroughly protected with Dynax being injected and and sprayed in various areas to the car. When the Morris came to us in 2013 we spent several thousand pounds preparing the car. It was treated to new points, condenser, air filter, vacuum advance and retard unit, four new wheel cylinders, new hub oil seals, front wheel bearings, new brake shoes, brake flexi hoses, new flasher unit and new top and bottom radiator hoses. The Morris was also treated to brand new carpets, new seat covers, new door cards, kick panels, interior pull straps and new wheel arch covers. Prior to coming back into the UK the Morris had been treated to a brand new double duck hood and mechanical improvements included an anti-roll bar to improve the cars handling, more modern shock absorbers all bushes, steering gaiters and ball joints had all been replaced. Over recent years thousands of pounds have been spent to ensure this has been able to prove a usable, regularly driven classic that not only presents very well, but drives exceptionally well.

On the road GHP 718D is outstanding with a perfectly performing strong 1098cc engine that holds excellent oil pressure. The four speed gearbox is effortless to use, the Morris handles superbly with the up-rated suspension items and brakes are efficient having being totally overhauled several years ago. The Morris keeps up with modern traffic and drives superbly in every respect. This Minor Tourer presents beautifully with a top quality paint finish and gleaming chrome work. The Morris has a very good level of detail and the engine bay and boot area are clean and very well presented. The car is structurally very strong having had various new panels fitted and is a vehicle that is ready to be used and enjoyed. The interior is stunning having had new carpets, seat covers, door cards and kick panels just a few years ago. The hood and hood cover are still as new and the car comes with a comprehensive file recording recent expenditure. If looking for a perfectly usable, strong, reliable and well presented Morris Minor Tourer, this has to be the right car.
