This show standard Morris Minor Traveller was first registered on the 9th July 1964. AFR 858B is finished in Rose Taupe with Red and Beige upholstery and was restored to a very high standard between 2010 and 2011. The Morris has covered little over 2000 miles since rebuild and the last two owners are regular customers of ours.
During rebuild the Morris was totally stripped down with all poor panels being replaced. AFR 858B has had new front and rear steel wings fitted, new roof guttering and new woodwork. The bodywork is excellent and the Morris has had a professional re-paint in the correct colour of Rose Taupe. All new seals, rubbers and felt have been fitted and the Morris still retains lovely original seats but carpets, headlining, door cards and glove box sections have all been replaced. New tyres have been fitted and as chrome work appears in excellent condition, we believe it has all been replaced.
Our Morris Minor Traveller is in excellent condition and we have receipts for major work such as a gearbox rebuild. The engine has been checked and is in excellent order; the unit itself has been cleaned, painted and detailed when re-fitted to the vehicle. The engine sounds perfect and runs perfectly with excellent performance. The braking system has been overhauled; various suspension components replaced and is precise and correct on the steering. Further work includes a new wiring harness, reconditioned radiator and reconditioned dynamo. Our Traveller is an absolute delights to drive and can be described as faultless on the road. The car is totally reliable and exceptional fun to drive.
Whilst the Morris isn't ‘concours', it has been detailed to show standard and recent work includes the engine bay being stripped down and detailed, the engine stripped externally, the block re-painted and all parts cleaned, polished and re-fitted. Brake pipes have been polished, the underside coach painted, the wheels removed cleaned on the inside and out, hubs painted, suspension components painted, spare wheel compartment cleaned and detailed and the paintwork polished on numerous occasions. The Morris now presents beautifully and is ready to go.
