By the late 1940's Morris desperately needed a modern, mid-sized, family saloon, and in 1948 they launched the new Oxford MO. The Oxford featured an all unit construction four door body, which had similar appearance to the equally new Morris Minor MM.
We know this car very well as you may tell from the Grundy Mack Classic car sticker in the back window. We sold the car back in 1995 from our premises in Huddersfield and have since sold the vehicle to regular customers in Leicester and Harrogate. Since selling the car during the summer of 2008, the Oxford MO has been used as everyday transport and has covered 9,000 miles in this time. The car has proved practical, reliable and very economical. Earlier this year, the owner changed the engine for a fully rebuilt unit and 1000 miles has been covered on this engine. The Morris has also had a new clutch and wiring loom. This is a fabulous driving car and has some lovely original features. The interior has been nicely kept with lovely leather and carpets are likely to be original.
Overall this is a perfectly usable example of the increasingly scarce Oxford MO. Great to drive, very presentable and solid throughout.
