OC 8836 was first registered in the 22nd March 1934 and left the factory in Brown over Fawn. We know from the brown 'buff' logbook our Monaco was in the West Midlands in the late 1950's and by 1964 had moved to Worcester when the owner changed address. The Riley remained with the same owner in Worcester throughout the 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's and was kept incredibly original. We have an MOT certificate from 1992 when the mileage was recorded at 74,795 and following this MOT the Riley was kept off the road until 2006 when the car was tested with a mileage of 74,816. In 2005 the Riley was re-commissioned and painted in Black over Maroon by a Cheshire Riley enthusiast and restorer.During the summer of 2006 we sold the Riley to one of our regular customers who owns several classic cars all capable of regular use. The Riley has been taken to local shows and over the past 5 years has covered over 1000 miles. The only significant improvement since we last sold the car is the electrical system which has been completely re-wired at the cost of over £2000. The Riley has been driven over to us and made the short 40 mile or so journey performing well with a strong engine displaying good oil pressure and sufficient power. The Riley is a delight to drive and is in very good mechanical order. The Monaco has a lovely deep paint finish and delightful original upholstery with beautifully aged brown leather. The Riley has many original features and we are delighted to once again offer the car onto the market.
