1951 Riley RMB

The RMB was an enlarged RMA and was launched a year later in 1945. It used the 2.5 litre "Big Four" engine with twin SU carburettors, starting with 90 hp but increasing to 100 hp for 1948 with a 95 mph top speed. The RMB was replaced by the Riley RMF in 1952. We very rarely see the 2.5 litre models, and this is the first RMB we have been able to buy for many years. The car has a beautiful green leather upholstery, with a new headlining and top quality carpets. The Riley drives along beautifully, and the engine is exceptionally smooth with very good oil pressure. The driving feels extremely relaxed, and with the extra power, is very impressive. The chrome work is very bright, and the grill in particular is first class. There is some very minor pitting on one bumper chrome, but this is not obvious. The paint work is very bright and only the odd very minor blemish reminds us that this car really is over 50 years old. Beautiful throughout.
