According to the original 'buff' logbook, NCD 256 was first registered on the 31st July 1953 and spent the first few years in Grantham Lincolnshire. The first owner moved to Stratford upon Avon in 1959 and the car was sold to the second owner on the 13th January 1962 in Shipston on Stour. From the current V5, we can see the car was sold in 1999 and this owner happend to also be in Shipston on Stour. We can't be certain but this would suggest the car spent many years in the town. Along with the original logbook, current V5 and MOT, we have the original Riley handbook, spare keys, MOT's back to 2004 and some invoices.
This very desirable 2.5 litre Riley presents remarkably well with a good quality of paintwork throughout, lovely original upholstery and good chrome. Not only does the car present well, this particular RMF can be described as exceptional on the road. In terms of performance, handling, comfort and overall feel, the Riley is outstanding and one of the best 2.5 models we have had to drive. The car has been owned by a Riley enthusiast and was driven down to us from Whitby. All the wood frame is in top condition and the car requires no improvement in order to be used and enjoyed.
