Our very original Riley Wentworth is said to be the last remaining example worldwide. FL 6839 was first registered on the 27th April 1928 and remains in its original colours of maroon over black. This rare find comes with three, early brown 'buff' logbooks recording all early ownership in the South East of England. In the late 1950's, the Riley was purchased by a Mr W Warne and the car remained in his ownership for almost 40 years.
The Riley comes with a comprehensive history that includes photographs detailing a body off restoration in the early 1980's. There is also a fascinating journal/log of work and information on the car throughout the 1980's and 1990's. We originally bought the car in 2008 and sold it to the Editor of the Riley Register Bulletin who has owned the car for three years.
The Riley comes back to us in strong mechanical order with a healthy side valve 12 H.P engine. Over the past three years the car has been out on several club meets and it performs and drives very well. Like before, there is a real feel of honesty and originality with old paintwork and a lovely patina.
This is a great opportunity to own a rare piece of motoring history not to be repeated.
