After 81 years of making history with one of Britain's most famous products, Rolls Royce Motors Limited built their 100,000th car in 1985. To celebrate this milestone, 25 limited edition Centenary versions of the Rolls Royce Silver Spur were made, all finished in Royal Blue with special badging. This example is number 20 of 25 and was bought new by The Patrick Collection for £77,740 and has only covered a remarkable 7,200 miles from new. This special edition Rolls Royce is a true collector's piece and is in presented in pristine condition.
C111 BYM was supplied new by Mann Egerton Ltd, Berkeley Street, W1, London and delivered on the 9th August 1985 and the first service was carried out by Rolls Royce Motors Limited Crewe in 1986 at 1367 miles. The next service was carried out by Lancaster Northampton Rolls Royce at 3495 miles in 1994 and there are two further services recorded in the Rolls Royce service book at 6314 miles by Balmoral UK and most recently at 7105 miles in 2014 by Rolls Royce Motor Cars in Manchester. Further to the Rolls Royce service history, there is also a maintenance and mileage log carried out by The Patrick Collection who owned the car from new to 2013. The history file also contains MOT certificates dating back to 1989, original advice and delivery note and various Patrick Collection and Rolls Royce correspondence.
The Rolls Royce presents superbly with pristine, immaculate Champagne Nuella upholstery. The inside of the car is as you would expect new and has some stunning optional extras due to being a special edition model to include veneered picnic tables, veneered rear door inserts with Rolls Royce emblem, cut crystal glasses and silver plated hip flasks. The paintwork and bodywork are truly first class and the boot and under bonnet area are exceptional. The condition is wonderful throughout having being part of a collection and treated as a museum piece.
C111 BYM is outstanding mechanically as one would expect with such low mileage. In November 2014, the car was serviced and put through a health check at Rolls Royce Motors Manchester and just 100 miles have been covered since. The cost of this service was £1998.52 and this included an engine oil change and replacement filter, air filter, change, new rear gas spheres, some new bulbs and wiper blades. This is a true collector's piece and without doubt the very best Rolls Royce of this era we have owned.
