The Rover P4 100 was launched in 1960 and effectively replaced the earlier 90 model which had sold so well from when it first appeared in 1953. The 100 model used a 2625cc six cylinder engine which provided a top speed approaching 100mph despite only having a single carburettor. The Rover 100 was known as a powerful, robust saloon and many are still on the road today as result. The P4 is often used for classic rallying and everyday use, underlining the fact these cars are very reliable and perfectly usable for long distance.
This car has a sound and very solid body with good paintwork. The body was restored between July 2004 and September 2005 and remains in solid condition. More recent work includes a re-conditioned overdrive unit and new front brake dicss. 334 UXE has been known to us for a number of years and has spent the past 9 months in Cornwall. The Rover is a fantastic driver and makes a perfect everyday usable classic.
The Rover has a very honest upholstery with good original beige leather. Woodwork is all very presentable and the carpets have been recently replaced.
We know this car well having previously sold it on three occasions. The Rover has proved 100% reliable and has been thoroughly enjoyed and kept in regular use.
