This is a rare example of the desirable 105 P4 model. We know JCN 961 very well having originally bought the car in 2005, not long after the car had come out of long term storage. Our Rover 105 was left standing throughout the 1980's and for large parts of the 90's but as a result, retained a very presentable original upholstery. With a mileage of 49,000 and such a high level of originality, the Rover appeared somewhat of a time warp and at this point during the summer of 2005, the car entered a three month full body restoration with photographic record. Many sections were cut out and removed, replaced with new metal and the car was then re-painted in its original two tone green. The bumpers were removed and re-chromed and the car then mechanically re-commissioned and put back on the road.
Several years ago we sold JCN 961 to a North East classic car club secretary. Since then, the Rover has been beautifully detailed under the bonnet and has covered around 4,000 miles. The Rover has driven down to us from the North East on two occasions and runs perfectly with a quiet engine and lovely smooth gearbox. The Rover has attended many shows and events and is a car that can be taken anywhere.
