No cars in the 1970's seemed to have the same air of solid worth and self-effacing dignity than the Rover P5B. They were still doing sterling service when Margaret Thatcher arrived in Downing Street in 1979 to begin her eleven year reign. For years, the Saloons were regularly sweeping into Parliament and Buckingham Palace.
This stunning example has been comprehensively restored with new body panels. Mechanically the car is superb, as is the cream leather upholstery. The car has been carefully detailed and really is in excellent order. The engine bay is exceptionally clean, and the body and chrome is also excellent. This example also benfits from a webasto sunroof.
Having driven here from Inverness, we can say with 100% confidence that this car is both exceptional mechanically and to drive.
