1968 Rover P5B Saloon
No cars in the 1970's seemed to have the same air of solid worth and self-effacing dignity than the Rover P5B. They were still doing sterling service when Margaret Thatcher arrived in Downing Street in 1979 to begin her eleven year reign. For years, the Saloons were regularly sweeping into Parliament and Buckingham Palace. This particular P5B has a lovely, honest feel about it, and has already claimed prizes at P5 rallies for it's high level of originality. The original black leather seats have been kept in excellent order, and the general appearance of the upholstery shows signs of being a low mileage, well cared for example. The body and paintwork is of a very good standard, and has had not needed any work for a long-time. The chrome work is very bright, and the exterior appearance of the car is great. This is no concours example, but is a very original car that can be used regularly, and given this and the current excellent mechanical condition, the car would make a great buy. Previously sold by us two years, and having driven here from London then, we can say with some confidence that this is one of the better examples to drive. Overall, an all round top quality example, and one of the best drivers we've had.
