Magnificent, outstanding, large and imposing, rare and powerful are just some of the key words we use to describe this Star 20/60 Tourer. The car is quite superb to drive, with an engine that has been bored out to 3.6 litres. The non-syncro gearbox is a delight to use with the 'silent' fourth gear and with a centre accelerator pedal, it takes all of a few minutes to get used to driving style. It sails along beautifully, and with it's Bentley size appearance, the car looks as though it is worth double of what we ask.
The full weather equipment is in very good order, and the carpets, leather, dashboard, dials and door cards are all beautiful. The instruments are very charming and the whole appearance from the driving position is sharp and very crisp. The car was subject to a full body off restoration and from the photographic record it appears over 15 years ago. The body, brightwork and paint has all aged delightfully, resulting in lovely patina.
The history file accompanying the car is quite magnificent, several photographs have been taken to show this. Three separate files include manuals, instruction books, Autocar Magazines from 1929, invoices, paperwork from the 1920's, detailed letters and history from the 1950's, and a file with /magazine/newspaper articles.
A superb machine that can be really used and is fit for anybody's collection.
