1967 Sunbeam Alpine

This very well presented Sunbeam Alpine is a car we know very well having sold it in 2007 and again in 2009. On both occasions the Sunbeam was sold to returning customers who have thoroughly enjoyed the car. The Sunbeam was subject of a bare shell rebuild to show standard condition during the early 1990's. We have a well documented photographic record showing the bare shell stripped down to metal, the underside painted body colour and the re-fitting of re-furbished mechanical components. The Sunbeam was re-trimmed with top quality magnolia hide with red piping and high quality red carpets fitted. The brightwork was all replaced or re-chromed and a new hood fitted. On completion the car was entered into various shows and did win prizes.

The Alpine spent between 2004 and 2007 off the road and we re-commissioned the brakes and prepared it for a new owner in 2007. Between 2007 and 2009 the Sunbeam entered various shows in the Teeside area and more recently has been in Harrogate. The Alpine is a superb driver with a lively 1725cc engine holding excellent oil pressure. The Alpine has great performance and brakes and handles well. During 2013 the Sunbeam has had substantial expenditure to include a gearbox rebuild, new clutch, spigot bearing and electronic ignition. Cosmetic improvements include re-chroming the rear bumper and over riders and replacing the boot hinges.

GCP 254E has an exceptional, straight body with superb superb paintwork as a result of a recent £3000 bare metal re-paint. The chrome work is still of a very good standard and the upholstery is in lovely condition. The boot area is very smart and the engine bay nicely presented. Overall the car presents beautifully and looks excellent on a set of chrome wire wheels. The Alpine is ideal for regular use and has the benefit of good performance, reliability and excellent luggage space with a large boot and rear seat.
