This beautifully presented low mileage TVR Cerbera has covered just 33,000 miles from new and comes with an impressive full service history. The car was supplied new on 16th June 1999 by S.P Broughton & Company Ltd in Cheltenham and serviced by them in July 1999 at 1045 miles, in September 1999 at 6008 miles and in March 2000 at 6380 miles. TVR Dealership David Hendry Cars in Wiltshire took over maintenance in September 2000, servicing at 12028 miles and again in 2001 at 18092 miles. Broughtons of Cheltenham by 2002 were Rolls Royce and Bentley agents and they carried out a service at 20282 miles before going back to David Hendry in 2003 at 23676 for another annual service. County TVR serviced the Cerbera at 25773 in 2004, TVR Power stamped the book at 27278 miles in 2005 and 28441 in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 TVR agents serviced at 29572 and 30371 and since then Track V Road have maintained and serviced at 31879 and recent receipts from them include replacing the outriggers, replacing all dampers and springs, driveshaft gaiters, upper wishbone bushes, fitted uprated engine mountings and re-conditioned the radiator.
It is clear from the impressive service records this TVR has been superbly maintained right throughout its life and invoices in the history file from County TVR in Cheltenham tell us that in 2005 at 26124 miles the engine was subject of a major overhaul. The cylinder head was removed, the engine removed from the car and then rebuilt to the latest specification to include new camshafts, cam followers, new piston rings, crankshaft bearings and on re-fit a brand new clutch was fitted. Just 7,000 miles have been covered since this major work. Also in 2019 the TVR has had £1,500 spent on new front and rear brake pads, new brake flexi hoses, two new tyres and various electrical work.
Our TVR Cerbera presents superbly with excellent paintwork and bodywork and a beautifully original low mileage interior. The engine bay and boot area are clean, smart and well presented and the car is structurally excellent having had the prone outriggers replaced. On the road the car is outstanding with excellent, rapid performance coming from the rebuilt naturally aspirated, double overhead camshaft six cylinder engine that is said to develop 350 BHP. This engine was one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines to be fitted to a production car and this impressive torquey engine gave the 1990's sports coupe a British muscle car status. Further enhancing performance, the Cebera was designed to be as light as possible, just 1100kg with no electronic driver aids keeping true to TVR's tradition of high power to weight performance. With its equal length manifold and sports exhaust system, the Cerbera has a distinctive note and the five speed gearbox is slick and perfect to use thus offering a really impressive 1990's sports coupe experience. Our TVR comes with its original handbook/service book, invoices and receipts for various servicing, engine rebuild, all recent maintenance and the private registration mark is also included.
