1976 Triumph 2500 TC

This very original Triumph 2500 TC Saloon has only covered 41500 miles from new. The car still retains its original dealer supplied number plates, windscreen sticker, dealer folder and passport to service book. USC 137R was supplied by Heron Rossleigh in Kirkcaldy, Fife on the 22nd October 1976. The supplying dealer carried out the first two services at 1105 and 3293 miles. Further service stamps in the passport to service book are recorded at 7130, 15250, 21981, 26621 and 28719 miles in 1986. By 1995 the Triumph had covered 32880 miles and the oldest MOT we have is dated 23rd April 1996 with 33146 miles. Between 1996 and 2007 the Triumph covered just 1600 miles but in the past six years USC 137R has covered almost 7000 miles taking the mileage to 41500.

This very original car was driven to us from Northampton as a part exchange against a P4 Rover. The Triumph drives superbly with excellent performance and has recently had the engine stripped down and rebuilt with new main bearings. The crankshaft was also checked and polished and a new crankshaft oil seal fitted (front and rear). Further recent work includes new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. The Triumph has exceptional paintwork as a result of a recent re-paint. The body was totally stripped down, repaired with new metal as necessary and re-painted in the cars original colour of Tahiti Blue. One rear wheel arch, passenger door bottom section, lower wings and rear panel were all repaired with new metal and as a result the Triumph now presents beautifully.

USC 137R still retains its delightful original upholstery. The cloth seats, door cards, carpets and headlining are all original and present in lovely, nicely aged condition. The interior clearly indicates the car has had careful owners and shows what an original car this really is. The engine bay is tidy and original; the boot area very clean and as previously mentioned the car drives superbly with an excellent rebuilt engine and perfect four speed gearbox with overdrive.
