This Triumph Dolomite Sprint is something rather special. The car has covered just 29,000 miles from new and comes with a full history including original bill of sale and Triumph Passport to service book. MPT 94P was supplied new by Morrison Road Garage Ltd in Stanley, County Durham and left the factory in Mimosa Yellow with Black nylon trim as per makers specification. Accompanying the original bill of sale is the vehicles very first Leycare maintenance schedule checklist, service campaign recall certificate, Cadulac corrosion preventive guarantee certificate, Triumph owner's service statement, Leyland cars service statement, 1000 mile free service certificate, Triumph Dolomite sales brochures and early service invoices. The Passport to service booklet contains seventeen service stamps and service notes and we even have the very first owners registration book holder containing the Triumph Dolomites first logbook and the supplying dealers plastic document wallet. MOT certificates date back to 1987 and a huge lever arch file contains all previous bill of sales, invoices for maintenance and upkeep and the original handbook. This is a beautifully kept original car that has been exceptionally well maintained. The last owner has had the car since 2003 spending a considerable amount on maintenance with the most significant expenditure being on a rebuilt cylinder head in 2005. More recently the Triumph has had new wheel bearings, wheel cylinders and a new water pump.
There is no doubt the history with this car is first class. We are delighted to say the actual condition of the vehicle is just as impressive. MPT 94P has an exceptional, clean and straight body shell with stunning Mimosa Yellow paintwork. The chrome work is excellent, as is the vinyl roof and it would be fair to say that the pictures really do not do the car justice. The windows have the registration mark etched into them and the engine bay is outstanding with evidence of waxoyl protection on the lower areas. The boot area is just as impressive and the interior is quite simply stunning. The upholstery is original and still smells like the car did when new. The seats have been beautifully kept, the carpets still very smart and original and even the sill covers still have original protective tape. This genuine Dolomite Sprint really is incredibly special and remarkably original.
The car is fabulous to drive with quiet, well maintained running gear. The engine as expected with 29000 miles is impressive with superb performance. The gearbox shows no signs of wear and the Triumph handles and brakes superbly. The car is a fabulous find and will most certainly be very difficult to replicate. This is a rare opportunity to acquire such a highly desirable model with the most outstanding history and low mileage.
