This outstanding Triumph Herald has only covered 26500 miles from new which is believed to be genuine. GWK 63D was first registered on the 13th June 1966 and left the factory in white with red upholstery. The Triumph Herald had just one owner from 1966 to 1998 and was sold to the second owner with just 26,338 miles covered from new. The Triumph changed hands again in 2011 and we then sold the Triumph to a collector who has kept the car in dry storage since purchasing it from us in 2013.
When purchased from its first owner in 1998, the Triumph Herald was driven just 25 miles home. The car was totally original but in need of some light restoration and detail work. The Triumph was totally stripped down and the chassis cleaned and painted. The interior is still in beautiful original order but we were told was treated to new carpets. A great deal of time taken to ensure the car was detailed and finished to a beautiful standard and since restoration just a few hundred miles have been covered. The Triumph was only used for local shows and kept in beautiful order before coming to us for the first time in 2013.
GWK 63D presents beautifully with an excellent body with stunning panel gaps. The underside is exceptional, as is the bulkhead and under bonnet detail. The Triumph has beautiful original trim and is certainly one of the very best Herald Saloons we have seen. The car drives superbly with an excellent engine and gearbox. The brakes, suspension and steering are all superb and the Triumph is ready for the show season. As the Herald has been in dry storage since 2013, we will be carrying out a full service, fluids change and will supply the car with a full 12 months MOT.
